A Texas native, Heather Wall is a devoted mother to two daughters, Reagan and Madison, and a loving grandmother to Everleigh Grace and Stetson Grady (due in December 2024). She is married to her best friend and loving husband, Mike. Heather is a member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 1998. Her passions include animals (fostering for Make A Stand Bully Rescue since 2016), music, and sunshine-filled days with family.

Heather was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in May 2024 at the age of 47. Following her diagnosis, she was referred to MD Anderson in Houston for further testing and treatment.

After extensive diagnostics, a team of doctors were selected and assigned, and a treatment plan was formulated. It was discovered that Heather had 2 masses, and the cancer had spread to her axillary lymph nodes. In July 2024 a lumpectomy was performed, removing both masses, and all 29 axillary nodes were removed.

Genetic material was sent off for testing to establish the next steps. It was decided that chemotherapy, followed by radiation, would be the best choice of treatment in Heather’s fight against breast cancer. In early September 2024, a port was placed and chemo began.

Chemo is broken down into 2 “phases” totaling 6 months. This first phase of chemo consists of 4 rounds (once every 3 weeks) for a total of twelve weeks. The second “phase” will be once a week for 12 weeks. So far, the chemo has taken a lot from Heather, but it has not taken away her fighting spirit or her smile. Upon the completion of chemo, 3 weeks of Monday through Friday radiation will be required.
